They can order prescriptions like antibiotics to your local pharmacy or recommend over-the-counter treatments or at home remedies for pain and sensitivity. They’ll also recommend a follow-up plan to track and manage your symptoms.

Our Care Team is available 8am to 10pm ET and they’ll immediately schedule your dental consultation for the soonest available appointment. If you reach out during off-hours, we might respond or email you back within a few hours or the next morning.
There are limitations to the care dentists can provide in a virtual visit. Telehealth laws prohibit prescription of certain medications, including narcotics and opioid pain medication. However, part of the value of a virtual visit is having a dentist listen to your concerns and advise your next steps. If the dentist is not able to fulfill a prescription or procedure they think you need, they will point you to an emergency dentist office that’s open so that you can get the care you need. If for some reason you’re not satisfied with your consultation you can reach out to us via the post-consultation email or via the care team chat.
